Jumpers are a great investment and that goes for the premium ones as well as the more affordable. I like to go pieces from Boohoo, River Island and PLT during the colder months; I think you can try new knitwear trends and colours at a reasonable cost. Each of the below are an edit of pieces I think will go with jeans as much as a leather skirt and tights. It’s good to vary the length of your sweaters so you can style them differently. For example, layer a long cardi over a tee and jeans with some ankle boots for cosy and casual. Or go for a shorter style to wear with high waisted skirts (this keeps proportion).
I am really excited to get back into opaque tights and boots, I just love this look. And I am determined to wear these with cardigans. Yep, I want to bring the cardi back in vogue again. River Island have some lovely ones in a variety of colours not just the reliable black. Try a dusky blue or neutral colour to wear with dark denim.
The best way to buy knits is to try one, remembering that it must match at least three things you already have, and see how much you wear that style. Then you can add to your collection. Another tip from me is to make sure it fits under coats you have for the Winter. Bulky sleeves on jumpers can be awkward so try them on!
