With lot’s of new products launching on the market over the next month, it’s hard to pick a favourite, but I’ve narrowed it down to an edit of beauty launches to expect and be impressed by!
CLINIQUE
Available right now is Clinique Fit, a capsule collection of skincare designed for use post-exercise. And the products are specialised enough to do exactly what you need after getting your sweat on. My main find from this range is the Neutralising Face Powder that can be applied directly to the skin to calm those areas of redness or indeed, where your skin has exhaled. It also includes a 24 hour mascara, a hydrating face & body spray as well as a lip and cheek tint. Each of the products are small enough to fit easily in your gym bag (or even for travelling). This range is very clever; I usually just bring wipes with me to the gym to clean my face once I’m ready to hit the shower to remove any residue, moisture or left over make up. I’m now going to up my game on how I look after my skin while training.
Aside from Clinique Fit, is a collaboration with Finnish designer, marimekko. Existing lip shades are now beautifully packaged in unique designs to pair nicely with each colour. My favourite has to be “Punch Pop” for a much needed dash of pink. Wear this with the new lip gloss, Juicy Apple. This range is out from the beginning of February.
MAX FACTOR
Moving up to the eyes, Max Factor (who make one of my favourite foundations, Lasting Performance) have launched a new mascara – Masterpiece that has the smallest wand for getting at even the tiniest lashes. I’m really impressed with this; not only does it coat every lash, it stays on as well. Add to this the new Contour Kit for brows that has four shades in the kit to build up, or tailor your brow shade. One shade is neutral so you can use that as a highlight under the arch of your brow, then use the other colours to flatter the shape of your brow. These two are available now in pharmacies.
CLARINS
I started to use a lot more primers last year. They really do prep your skin for make up, so I have been on the lookout for a new one for the season. Clarins latest invention is SOS Primer – of which there are two. First up, Booste l’éclat preps and moisturises the skin. It’s very hydrating which I like, you just need to give it a minute to seep into your skin before you start your make up. Second, is Camoufle les Imperfections, which personally, I prefer. There is a soft blur to this product and on my cheeks which have uneven skin tone, I was really impressed with it’s effects. This has a little colour in it as well.
LOUBOUTIN BEAUTY
You all know how much I love this brand, so I’m going to admit to being a bit biased on this product. But, it’s really lovely and luxury. Launching March is the new mascara, Les Noirs Amplifying Lacquer, which gives a sultry, voluminous look to your lashes. But it can be applied just to the tips for something more subtle too.
