You are probably wondering why Mariah Carey is in my heading? Well last night my friends at Primark took a group of we bloggers and press off to London to see the Queen perform. And oh my was she good! She has not lost her voice and in fact I was so surprised at how pitch perfect she was. The O2 is an amazing venue due to it’s sheer size, and we also were treated to watching the concert from a box with some dinner in our laps.
Yes, thank you I shall watch all gigs like this from now on. As you know I work with Primark a lot, and this trip was a little treat from them for the people they work with. How lovely right? We flew over to London on Tuesday morning on a BA plane that felt like a private jet (I’m sure the business people also on the early flight were not too impressed with our constant chatter). Then we checked into the fabulous Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. I love that part of London and when I am visiting with my husband for non-work purposes we always stay east. We had some lunch (in a vegan restaurant called Genesis which was unreal!) and then it was time to get glam! What a lovely day and night I tell you. I’m back home right now and getting my content ready for the next few days! So this time it’s all about affordable presents.
When I first started going out with my now husband, we used to go mad on Christmas gifts. Fifteen years later we have a €100 price limit on our gifts to each other. And, generally, we tell each other what we want. It’s a win win I tell you. Thanks to those clever people in retail, you do not have to spend a fortune to get the nicest gifts. For the fashionista, I have made some affordable presents suggestions in the gallery below (you can click on the image to see the price and brand) with some fashion and some beauty. All of these items are under €100 and whether you want a stocking filler or something more indulgent, I hope you like the below!
