A western style jacket with its iconic fringing was never really a must buy for me until now. During my usual three hour trawl through Primark I stumbled upon this black suedette jacket which I simply had to have. I have black blazers, denim jackets, leather jackets and lots of variations of those, but not a jacket like this. The western trend has led us down a trend path full of intrigue; from studs, to fringes to cowboy boots. If you want to do the head to toe look, go for it, but me, no, I’m going with one statement piece to fit into my day to day style.
How to style the Western Style Jacket
This look from Primark is very much about the weekend for me. Staying with my staple of a good skinny jean and t-shirt, I am updating my go-to attire with this new statement jacket. I love the fringing; it’s the right balance of festival versus cowboy for me. And since it’s black it will match everything I own. The texture is light for Spring too. Let’s hope we can say bye to our Winter coats over April. I am tired of the heavy textures of the snow days and ready to take on some warmer weather.
Since I posted a selfie of this look last week, I have been inundated with questions about the sunglasses. They have that designer look with a €4 price tag. It’s why I love Primark so much. They fill that luxury need without taking all my pocket money. So if you like the look of this, look, it’s all available in store now!
